For Language Arts this year, my girls decided to take a class to write and publish their very own novels. And I’m so insanely proud to report that they have accomplished their mission and are officially published authors!
Both books are written by middle schoolers for middle schoolers. Check out the descriptions below to learn more and grab your copies!
EVERY MINUTE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE. AS THE SANDS OF TIME SHIFT, I SEIZE EVERY MOMENT. EACH GRAIN SLIPPING THROUGH THE HOURGLASS IS A REMINDER TO MAKE EACH SECOND COUNT.
Candace is a foster kid. She lost her Mom the night her sister died. Oh, she didn’t leave her or anything, she just melted into silence. She started to neglect Candace, leaving her to fend for herself for five years. But things start to look up when her mom sends her a letter that changes her life forever. Soon, she gets tangled up with a boy named Keith. Keith never asked for any of this. He wants nothing to do with Candace’s sudden friendship, but when the truth unravels, he’s kind of stuck with her. Keith’s grandfather recently passed away, leaving an hourglass in his hands. He has absolutely no idea what to do with it—until he learns what it can do.
Four kids—Angela, Tess, Tyler, and Zackery are on their way to summer camp. But when the boat they were on crashes, they have to figure out a way to get back home alive.
But before they figure that out, an evil scientist attempts to stop them from leaving, willing to take any risk to do so…
